We finally had water today. We were told that there will not be any water available in the hostel from yesterday till this afternoon but luckily one of us went to check the tap in the morning.
By the way, here are some photos of the place we're living in.
The place is really clean, bathroom as well, and there are 2 balconies, 1 in the kitchen and 1 in the bedroom.
The weather today is much colder than yesterday. Temperature’s around -10 to -1 degrees Celsius. When the wind blows our faces, fingers and other exposed areas go numb almost immediately.
Anyway, we were given our subjects today. We went by courses and separated in the morning to start our respective lessons. The studio's they have here are all really nice, with all the main studios having an upper deck. Here's one of their clay work studio and the class the EVDs joined.
The ADMers were given a brief intro to the morning lesson, and were brought to a popular shopping district, called Gui Ling Lu, in the afternoon by another lecturer, and we shopped together, with the lecturer helping us to bargain. The VSCs were brought to the same shopping district by their lecturer too for an intro to their class. The EVDs joined a morning class and made friends who brought them to the same shopping district yet again, to buy materials.
Gui Ling Lu is basically like five times of a combination of our Far East and Bugis Street. We bought high cut sneakers for under S$10, and a cute thick hoodie for about S$14. =D
We tried the canteen today too. Food was alright, EVDs says the fried rice’s really really salty. ADM and VSCs think their food was alright. But there seem to be lots of good food around our hostel. Will try them all within this period of 19 days. For today's dinner though,we went back to the same restaurant yesterday on our own. The servings are huge.
